Introduction to the Indian Constitution is a Generic Elective course (GE) offered by Delhi university under Political Science Department. This Subject aims to Introduce students with the Basic concepts of Indian Constitution. its provides an overview of its Socio-political context of its origin, history of the making of the constitution and the philosophies behind it. On successful completion of the course, the students will demonstrate-

➤ Knowledge of the origin and contents of the Indian Constitution.
➤ Awareness of the rights and duties of the citizens and the obligations of the state.
➤ Familiarity with the functioning of constitutional governance in India and the division of power between different tiers of the government.
